Forest Park, Ill. – June 19, 2017 – For two days of FREE events including airplane rides, displays, aerial demos and more, plan on attending one of the upcoming Tuskegee Airmen Legacy Open House events made possible by the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Red Tail Squadron, Legacy Flight Academy (LFA), Golden Eagle Aviation (GEA) and the 187th

plus hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities. On-site educational organizations and companies are guaranteed to ignite excitement about aviation-related career opportunities.
This event honors the heroic Tuskegee Airmen (the nation’s first African-American military pilots) and celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the 100th Fighter Squadron (one of the first squadrons of the legendary Tuskegee Airmen). Spearheaded by LFA, a non-profit organization that conducts character-based youth aviation programs focused upon the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, the Legacy Open House seeks to inspire young and old alike with the timeless example of dedication, service, and sacrifice exemplified by the Tuskegee Airmen.
“We’re proud to honor these American heroes and to ensure their legacy continues on throughout future generations,” said LFA founder and fighter pilot, United States Air Force Major Kenyatta Ruffin. “Our programs provide hundreds of free flights, workshops and valuable mentoring for youth around the country.”
