Montgomery, AL– On Thursday, June 8, 2017, a fundraising reception was held for Tiffany McCord. At this reception, McCord officially announced that she will be running for Montgomery County District Judge, Place 3.
McCord’s supporters shared their reaction to her announcement.
KK Middleton, a business owner and community leader, met McCord at church and has known her for twelve years. He was highly impressed and excited that McCord decided to run for a district judge position. “Tiffany is knowledgeable, has morals, and is down to earth. She won’t dodge phone calls or emails, and she supports the public. We need someone in the court system who is accessible and relates to the public.” He feels that McCord will be a fair and compassionate judge that won’t abuse the law.
Attorney Kynesha Adams-Jones and Attorney Tamika Watkins both met McCord in the family court system. Both women described McCord as a hardworking, compassionate, dedicated, helpful, and professional woman.
Laura Eubank, President of the Montgomery County Bar Association, was also excited about the announcement. “I don’t know her personally, but I know that she is experienced and fair; I’m excited about having another female judge in the court system.”
Graham Esdale, an attorney for the Beasley Allen Law Firm, met McCord in the courthouse; he believes that she is the best candidate for district judge. “She has a great judicial temperament. She’s fair and a great public server.”
McCord’s family is overjoyed by the amount of support she has received thus far. Her husband, Darris McCord, and her daughter, Kristian McCord, are both excited about the journey. “She’s a hardworking woman that is dedicated to serving the people. We enjoy seeing her gradually progress into the next district judge for Montgomery County.”
Tiffany McCord also commented on the outcome of the reception. “It has been an awesome experience to step out on faith and have the full support of the community and prominent members of the Montgomery County judicial system. It warms my heart to know that people support my dreams. I believe that the Montgomery Court System is one of the best in the nation; I just want to make it a little better.”
