MONTGOMERY – The Montgomery Chamber of Commerce’s ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Mission House, a special events facility, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 461 S. Court Street.

“It’s a completely restored mansion located in downtown Montgomery that provides an intimate setting for special occasions and private events,” said Keary L. Foster, owner of Mission House and president/CEO of Wealth Management Partners, LLC. He purchased the Mission House last May.

Renovations on the 3,000-square-foot mansion took about six months, Foster said. The first event was a Christmas gathering in December 2016. More recently, it broadcast the Aug. 26th Floyd Mayweather-Conor  McGregor fight on its three large-screen TVs –65-inch, 55-inch and 50-inch. The TVs are inside, but “we have the ability to project one outside,” Foster said.

The Mission House has four separate meeting rooms; large patio with a deck; front porch; four fireplaces; large kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave (no stove), ice machine, prep tables and a sink. There is a bar/service area and a cooler. Wi-Fi is provided.

“The large No. 1 meeting room is a big, open space,” Foster said, “and the large No. 2 meeting room is the bar/service area with stools and a TV.” There are two other smaller meeting rooms. Charges start at $150 per hour for a meeting room.

The Mission House is available for a wide range of activities in addition to meeting space for businesses and professional organizations: fundraisers for nonprofit organizations, networking events, wedding receptions, anniversaries, retirement celebrations, graduation celebrations, birthday celebrations, community/neighborhood events and other private events.

“I’m looking forward to people stopping by Tuesday and seeing what we have done with the Mission House,” Foster said. “It’s beautiful and it’s the ideal place to hold your special event.”

Foster is planning a Halloween/costume  festival in October and birthday and anniversary celebrations booked in the facility for later this month.
