Montgomery, AL- Leadership Montgomery revealed the members of Legacy Class 34 at a networking reception held at ServisFirst Bank on Thursday, July 20, 2017.

The Leadership Montgomery Legacy program is centered around informing, motivating, and increasing the awareness of professionals through connections with the community.

Cheryl Lange, the newly selected Executive Director of Leadership Montgomery, expressed her excitement in this Legacy Class being the first class under her direction. “I was a part of Legacy Class 33, and I’m so excited to be a part of this class as well. I hope that each member of this class is able to learn more about Montgomery and build connections like I did.”

A few members of Legacy Class 34 shared what they hope to get out of this program.

Michelle Browder, CEO of B the one Productions, was approached by members of Leadership Montgomery who persuaded her to join the program. She hopes that this program will be helpful and beneficial to the development of her leadership skills.

Jvarra McCall-Martin, an appraiser for Montgomery County, is a graduated member of the Young Professionals program of Leadership Montgomery- Torchbearers Class 6. She joined Legacy Class 33 to enhance her leadership skills and connect with a diverse group of people. She hopes to represent the youth and emerge with valuable skills that she can leverage onto her nonprofit coed youth basketball team players, who know her as Coach Minnie.

Christian Hirota, an assistant manager at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Company, was offered the opportunity to be the first person in his department to take the Legacy Class. “I didn’t know much about Leadership Montgomery; we don’t really hear about opportunities like that in the engine shop. Still, I was open to the idea of trying the program out.” He hopes to gain beneficial networking opportunities and contribute to the community during this program.
